Canadian folk legend Neil Young is back with a bang, announcing a North American tour this spring with his band Crazy Horse. The tour, called the Love Earth Tour, will feature music from their upcoming joint album “FU##IN’ UP” which is set to release on April 20.
The tour will kick off on April 24 in San Diego with a two-night special before making its way to Toronto on May 20 at the Budweiser Stage. This is the only Canadian date on the 16-show run, making it a must-see for fans in the Great White North.
Young had taken a break from live performances in the past year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, with the situation improving and safety measures in place, he is now ready to hit the stage once again. His last live performance was at Willie Nelson’s 90th birthday early last year, and he also played a few shows as part of his Costal Tour in the summer.
Tickets for the Love Earth Tour went on pre-sale at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, with a general sale starting on Feb. 16 at 10 a.m. In an effort to prevent reselling and scalping, the tickets will be mobile-only and restricted from transferring. This means that fans will have a fair chance of purchasing tickets at face value without the fear of them being resold at higher prices by scalpers.
According to a news release, the artist's intention is to give fans the best chance to buy tickets at face value. In case a fan is unable to attend the Toronto concert, they can resell their ticket to other fans through Ticketmaster's platform. This ensures that true fans get to attend the show and no one has to pay inflated prices.
